Camping Clubs

Thursday January 4, 2007
Solo camping may be adventurous and challenging, but it's more fun camping with family and friends. There is no need to camp alone. Did you know that there are clubs where you can get together with others who share your interests about camping and RVing? For example:

Camp Club USA logoCamp Club USA - guarantees 50% off nightly rates and 100% quality campgrounds. Launched in January 2006, Camp Club USA now has over 600 campgrounds and nearly 25,000 members. Frequent campers will find the $50 membership fee to be a great investment. New campgrounds are being added to the network every week. The Web site features a searchable campground database and a MapQuest interface to map your trip with Camp Club USA campgrounds shown along the route.

(1) Roy Thomas Dean Jr says:

I joined “Passport America”, the last attempt to have a camping club by Camping World. It was a most disappointing experience. I have never felt as screwed as I was by them. I was on the road in my motorhome for seven months and was unable to camp at even one “50% off” location. There was always a problem. I sent letters to Passport America and the president of Camping World but did not recieve any answers. They knew what they created so I guess there wasn’t much the could say. There was some satisfaction in seeing there demise but having them re start with a new name mad that short lived… SAVE YOUR MONEY!!
