The WoodGas Camp Stove

Thursday June 28, 2007
The WoodGas Camp StoveGear Review - The WoodGas Camp Stove is an innovative, efficient cooking device that burns almost any fuel that you can find in nature. Sticks, twigs, leaves and pine cones all work well with this stove. Weighing in at only 26 ounces, this stove is an excellent choice for backpackers, because you'll never need to pack any fuel. The WoodGas Camp Stove is also great for emergencies. MSRP: $49.95

Anyone know how this would work out backpacking? I’m starting to get interested in backpacking and will soon be buying all the equipment. But would something like this be too smoky from the leaves/pinecones, and is it really ecologically sound to burn that kind of stuff vs. traditional fuel?
