Profiles: Campmor

Thursday April 10, 2008
I've put together a list of the Top 10 Online Retailers that I consider the best places to shop for camping and outdoor gear. Heading the list is Campmor. Campmor is one of my favorite places to shop online for camping gear. They have many of those small and hard-to-find items, and their prices are always reasonable. I consider Campmor a "Best of the Net" online retailer...read more

I have been camping since 1955 and Campmor is a wonderful site for gear for both the backpacker and car camper! Cabela’s is good also but Campmor carries more product especially for backpackers. When I order something, it is here almost immediately. Great store and great selection of products!!!

I agree, Campmor it is fantastic, great and fast service. I also find their prices are usually better than anyone else, Cabella, Bass pro shop included.

Campmor and Cabelas are both good sites. MassOutfitters.Com is a good place that has great prices and free gifts with most purchases. They are a newer site so they are adding inventory every week.

Ive been shopping both at Campmor and Cabelas before, and have no complaints aside from the prices being above what I have found other places online. I went in to one of thier otlets recently and have to say the sales rep certainly knew what he was talking about, overall it was a good experience. I ended up buying a Big Agnes Tent which I used a couple times over the next month. Then while shopping for a sleeping bag a couple weeks later, I found a site that offered the same tent about $50 ess expensive. They didnt have quite the selection as Campmor, but I did find a pretty good bag.

I love Campmor. Their tent selection and info is the best. Shipping is the fastest ever. I also heard that next year they will unveil a new website design. The Retail store rocks.

There is also a sleeping bag site called SleepingBagDeal.com. They search for deals on sleeping bags.

Not only is the web site awful in its layout, but pictures do not represent what you will get when the package comes to your home U.P.S. Customer service supervisors who you would expect to help you actually get into arguments with you. I will never shop here AGAIN!
