Camping Outlook 2009

The economy may be bad, but 2009 looks like a great year to take the family camping. A camping vacation fits easily into anybody's budget. Campground costs are much cheaper than hotel/motel rates, gas prices are down, and outdoor recreation (hiking, biking, fishing etc.) is virtually free. Of course there's the initial investment for any related gear that you might need, but you only buy gear once. Retailers have lots of bargains after the holidays, so now is a good time to shop for gear.
