Outdoor Games and Toys
Many campgrounds provide playgrounds for kids, a basketball court, or open field for games like baseball, touch football or volleyball. However, there are also many campgrounds that don't provide any. Does the campground you're visiting lack outdoor recreation? Consider bringing your own or purchasing one of the games listed in the poll, and you're sure to have lots of fun.
Take the poll. Multiple choices allowed. If you take a game that is not on the list, leave a comment.

We like to play the Scandinavian game Kubb,

when we were cmping with the kids we always had a Frisbee. Now it is just 3 or 4 card games.
I take the board game Aggrivation. It was my husband’s favorite game and is a homemade one for 4 or 6 players. Sort of a combination of chinese checkers, but played with cards and pegs(golf tees) in a board. It is a good way to meet people by asking them to play a game. Of course, I always take several packs of cards. Euchre is my game.
We also take the more popular bean bag toss game and several board games (Sorry, battleship, trouble) and several decks of cards to play War with.
Our kids are grown and most times our days are spent out of camp, at night we break out the cribbage boaard and a deck of cards or the backgammon board.
We never took any games for the kids when we family camped. We took bicycles and just let the kids ride around and make up their own games. If it rained, they sat with us and talked. We now camp with the boy scouts and they make up their own games or play the all-time favorite “Capture the Flag”.
We always have frisbees, cards, Disney Trivia, wordfind, lots of board games, nerf balls of any kind. Our family ranges in age from 7 to 63 so we need a variety to keep everyone happy. We also take along some electronic games, like Deal or no Deal, Battleship. Sometimes we sit around the fire and actually talk. WOW. What a concept. AHH, CAMPING, YA CAN’T BEAT IT FOR FAMILY TOGETHERNESS.
Frisbee and nerf football.
We have a game box with a variety of board games, card games for all ages as well as regular cards. Dominoes are great because the wind can’t blow anything away! We also always take a jigsaw puzzle for week long campouts and everyone works on it. We cover it at night and move the table around to capture the best light.
Camping is fun whether it is just the tow of you, or your family and friends. To please all ages, there are a lot of choices to be had. We put them into a large plastic container with a lid to keep them in one place. It fits underneath the trailer at the campsite. We love to buy the “cheap” kind you find at the dollar stores or discount stores. That way it doesn’t matter if something gets lost or broken. We play and have fun together. But most of the time we try to be busy on hikes and observing the animals and other things in nature. Star gazing and smores around the campfire add to the “fun”. I think just camping is the best!
We camp where they have these open ended toys that keep my kids entertained for hours. There is water, dirt, rocks, trees, sticks, bugs, trails, stars and animals.
Whenever I go camping I take a few toys for my children to keep them happy when me and my husband are doing things. I always take the Spiro Hop, they love it, its just like a regular see-saw but more fun!
