Do You Take Photos When You Camp?

Friday October 23, 2009

Camping is a great way to share memorable times with family and friends. My wife is best when it comes to taking candid shots when we are on a trip. The campout itself creates lasting memories, but the photos we take help us share those memories with others.

So, do you or anyone you're camping with take photos of the trip? Take the poll and use the photo submission form, if you have a photo that you'd like to include on the Camping Community Photo Gallery.

(1) Ray Anderson says:

We camp to take photos and take photos to camp.
We enjoy day hiking near campgrounds to get closer to nature and always take a camera. The geological, flora and fauna are the adventures we seek. We return to favorite camps and discover new visuals at different seasons: wildflowers, streams, wildlife, waterfalls, mountains, oceans, deserts, etc, etc….
The weather is an important element in the scenic enjoyment. Ansel Adams said: “There is no bad weather, only different weather.”

I have some time ago visited I went on a Sahara tour, The tour guides quote was quite very informative – “If they wanted to stop people climbing/photographing they wouldn’t have built the road!”

I recently bought a cheap (inexpensive) digital camera and now I take lots of pictures while camping. It used to be a hassle loading film and getting it developed now I just shoot away and edit the photos at home on the pc.

I take my grandchildren camping and we really enjoy taking the pictures and looking at them later. I have special albums just for camping and sometimes the 5 yr old twins get them out and look at them by themselves. Occasionally, one of the six takes the pictures which is a special treat for them.
