Stay Dry at the Campground
Although a thunderstorm can sure put a damper on things at the campground, if you can stay warm and dry, it can be tolerable. Here's how:
- Use a ground cloth under your tent.
- Set your tent up on higher ground.
- If your floor leaks, use a tarp inside the tent.
- Use a rainfly that gives good coverage.
- Seam seal your tent and rainfly.
- Take raingear.
- Vent your tent to allow condensation to escape.
