After The Leaves Are Gone
Tuesday November 7, 2006
Late fall is a great time to go camping. The leaves may have dropped, but the carpet they make in the woods and the sound of them rustling under your feet as you hike can be a beautiful and relaxing experience. It can be very dry in places at this time of year, so make sure to check any fire regulations before starting your campfire. On the other hand some places, like where I live in the midwest, can be very wet, so be sure to take your tarp, tent fly, and rain-suit. Either way, happy camping.(Photo © 2006 David Sweet licensed to About.com, Inc.)
