Campground Fun

Tuesday July 25, 2006
Parents who camp with their kids know what entertains them and should bring their favorite games and toys to the campground. But what about the rest of us? For older kids and adults, you might consider any of these outdoor games and toys: badminton, Bocce ball, corn hole, Frisbees, horse shoes, stunt kites, or volleyball. Don’t overlook activities like fishing, hiking and swimming. Bring along nature books and binoculars. If you own a GPS, try geo-caching. If you’re at the beach, go shelling. Play an instrument? Bring it out at the campfire and have a sing-along. There’s plenty to do at the campground, just use your imagination.

If you have a suggestion for campground fun, please leave a comment.

We play some games that you mentioned at the campgrounds, but I have not heard of the one you mentioned at least not by that name.
Can you tell us how to play “corn hole”? Certainly has an interesting name.

Corn hole is a game similar to horseshoes. Bean bags are tossed at a platform with a hole in it. The object being to get your bean bag in the hole.
