Update Don't Bug Me! Patch
Tuesday September 25, 2007
Product Review The first transdermal skin patch to provide bug bite protection from head to toe. The patch uses all natural ingredients (Vitamin B1 and aloe) and no DEET. It is waterproof, and it protects you for up to 36 hours. The patch is effective against mosquitoes, gnats, ticks, chiggers, sand fleas and noseeums. Available at major retailers nationwide in 5, 10 and 20-patch boxes for $4.99, $7.99 and $15.99 respectively.Edited 9/24/07 - Four of us tried the patch on the beaches of Ocracoke Island. Three wore it for a day and took it off because they kept getting bitten by mosquitoes. I was getting bit too, but I kept it on for two days. It did not work effectively. I had to resort to my old standby bug repellent Cactus Juice. It works!
Consequently, I've changed my rating to one star.

I saw this product and had to try it. I dove into it head over heals by purchasing the largest package. We have mosquitoes really bad in our neighborhood. I saw the instructions said to use two patches if you’re over 200 pounds or if the mosquito population is bad. I used two patches and after 3-4 hours tested it. It was as if I didn’t use any repellent at all!!!! I love the concept of this product since my family eats and gardens organically but i hate to say this product didn’t live up to it’s claim. For what it’s worth i gave some patches to a co-worker and he had the same feedback that i did. It didn’t work for him nor my wife. I think i’ll stick with the natural spray repellents that we get at whole foods.
I used the patch 3 weeks ago, it didn’t work and now, I still have the square mark on my arm where the patch was !!! I think I will have to contact the company about this!!
I bought 2 boxes for camping, it did not work.I got a red mark on my arm that left after about three days
Wow I am really shocked that no one liked these patches. I have been traveling to costa rica for years and absolutely love the country but it seemed that the mosquitoes had a personal vendetta against me. I tried everything and deet barely works and it made me smell so I tried these patches the last time. It wasnt until the end of my trip that I realized that I forgot to use all my antimosquito stuff that I usually use. And I only had about 3 mosquito bites total which is probably about a 90% reduction in how many I usually get. I freakin’ LOVE these patches and am now a lifer! Anyone wanna give me the ones they didnt use. I am stock piling them as much as possible
The best Insect Repellent I have ever used is by a Company called Natural Patches Ltd in the UK. It is a patch named “insect repellent patch” you wear it for 36 hours. I have used others claiming to do the same thing, however no others have worked as well. The NATURAL PATCHES Insect Repellent is fantastic and I use it on my three children ranging in age from 2 - 12. We have travelled through Malaria Risk areas in Kenya using the patches for 3 weeks with NO BITES! AMAZING! NATURAL PATCHES FOR ME!!
i am surprised that it doesn’t work on you guys, i had no problems with it while in CR and am still using it today. i also allow the patch 24 hours to get into my system, and do not expect it to work within 3 hours. put the patch on the day before you are going out doors to tango with the mosquitoes, and continue changing it every 30-34 hours, or as prescribed, and i think you will be fine. you might even need 3 patches. i am 100 lbs, and one is fine for me, i am also very active and have great blood and oxygen flow to my skin. maybe that helps. anyway, i give the product a 10, on a scale from 1-10, as it beats any other oral, sprayed on, or rubbed on product.
way to go, Don’t Bug Me!
