Q. What is the camping site about?
A. The camping site provides online resources that will help you plan camping adventures and enjoy the great outdoors. To this extent, I concentrate my time in developing and maintaining campground information (directories, lists and reviews), camping recipes, general how-to features about camping gear and techniques, and the camping forum. These resources are there to help you make your own informed decisions about where to go camping, how to get there, and what to do once you've arrived.
Q. And, what is it not about?
A. The camping site is not a travel agency that plans trips. The camping site is managed by one person, me, the camping guide. I am neither qualified, nor do I have the time, to offer personalized travel advice. I can't recommend campgrounds where I've never been, nor gear which I've never used. From time to time, I share my experiences on the camping site and tell you about the places I've been and the gear I've used.
Q. Where can I get answers to camping questions?
A. Post your questions on the Camping Forum, where I and/or fellow camping enthusiasts will reply with answers and suggestions. Also, you can read through old questions to see if yours has already been asked, or you can check the Questions and Answers page, where I regularly post replies to popular camping inquiries.

Q. How can I get a Web site listed on About camping?
A. If your site is directly related to camping or one of the camping subjects featured on this site, then send an email to Suggest a Site. Include the site URL, a description, and tell me where you think your Web page fits into the camping site. Sites are reviewed in the order in which they are received. If, after review, your Web site fits an appropriate category on the camping site, a free link will be added and you will be notified by email.

A. About offers several advertising opportunities. (I have no responsibility for ads, and I'm not even aware of them until they appear on the site.)
