Mt. Katahdin and Baxter State Park

Rugged terrain marks Mt. Katahdin, the final landmark at the northern end of the Appalachian Trail. Located in Baxter State Park, it climbs 5267 feet to earn the distinction of being Maine's highest point.

This beautiful wilderness is a popular destination for rock-climbers, hikers, campers, photographers, and naturalists who all come to behold and enjoy this outdoor spectacle.
