Myrtle Beach, known as "The Seaside Camping Capital of the US," offers a variety of outdoor activities and attractions for the millions of annual visitors that come to enjoy this fun and sun capital. Myrtle Beach deserves its reputation for being a fun capital because there's plenty of recreation and entertainment for the entire family. With numerous amusement parks, water parks, marinas, and dozens of miniature golf courses, not to mention the museums, shows, tennis clubs, petting zoo, charter boats, fishing, and more.

If you're looking for a place to pitch your tent or set up your camper, whether it's for the night or for an extended stay, Myrtle Beach has two great seaside state parks:

Myrtle Beach State Park at the northern end, and

Huntington Beach State Park at the southern end.
