Kathy - I found out about this campground on a visit to the nearby Enchanted Forest. We camp there in a cabin every year in June.
Campground Review
I was so impressed! The campsites were all spaced very well and allowed the privacy we look for. The setting in each camp was very "natural" for a real camping feel. Each morning a mother deer and her fawn would actually walk up to (onto) the deck area of our cabin, and allowed my family to not only hand feed them, but pet them as well! The bathroom, shower, and garbage dumping areas were the cleanest of any camp we've ever been to. Also, when the weather didn't cooperate, we could take a quick walk or drive to the main hall, which offered both kids and adults things to do on a rainy day. Lastly, the "Enchanted Forest" theme park is only minutes away - having small children, this was convenient. We left the park, took the little ones back to camp for a nap, and then returned to enjoy the rest of the day. We make plans to go every year. Last year we made three trips!
