Susan - I found this campground on the US Forest Service Web site while looking for a mountain campground not too far from Atlanta. I tent camped there in June 2004.
Campground Review
This is a small wooded campground with clean, attractive, well-separated sites. Birds are abundant as are rhododendrons. The Cullasaja River is across the highway from the campground, with very nice scenery and waterfalls within a few miles. The town of Highlands is four miles away with "upscale" shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend this campground for tents. A few sites will also accommodate smaller RVs.
