Shady Lake Campground, Ouachita National Forest, Arkansas

Campground Review

This campground was very clean, quiet, and beautiful. The staff and rangers are very friendly, and they patrol the area on a regular basis. Definitely a family campground. We had no trouble. The water was great. There are grills, tables, and fire pits at every site. The sites are shady and flat. They had movies at the open theater that night for the kids (Saturday,) and a church service was available that Sunday morning. This was our first camping experience since our youngest was born (he's 2 now), and we had a great time. I suggest taking all the suggestions here and visiting Shady Lake. You won't be disappointed.
