Becky - I found this campground on the Internet, and I tent camped there in October 2003.

Campground Review

I think this is a great campground because it is simple and rustic yet charming and inviting. The campground borders the Tye River, which will sing you to sleep at night and cheerfully greet you in the morning. You can also fish there. The grounds are only 1/2 mile from Crabtree Falls. Take the 2-mile hike up the Crabtree Falls Trail and you wind up on the Appalachian Trail. They have bath houses, laundry, a store, a game room, and a playground. Sitting around the fire pit at night surrounded by trees, mountain boulders, and the rush of the river is what we call camping.
