I'm looking for a product that will help me from getting lost in the woods. I thought a marker of some kind would help. Have you seen or heard of such a thing?

Learn to find your way with map and compass and acquire experience and common sense for being out in the woods. Or, if you have the bucks, buy a GPS system. Graffiti is undesirable in the woods.
