Camping Questions and Answers

Question:

Ten years ago my wife and I camped throughout Europe for a month. Before we left the USA we got a Camping Carnet, a photo ID card showing we were members of a camping association, that every camp ground demanded to see when we rented a site. Now we are going again in June but can't remember where we got the card...seems like it was National Camping and Hiking Assoc in Buffalo, NY but I can't find any listing for that group. Do we still need such a card? If so, got any ideas where we get one?

Answer:

I found the Camping Club Europe site which offers members the camping carnet too. You may also consider contacting them.

And AAA is associated with carnet too, check here.
