- Question:
I run a small camping club and need some help. In order to make T-shirts, letterhead, newsletter masthead, etc., I bought two different software packages that showed 'log type' letters. (Letters are formed from the placement of logs such as might be done at summer camps, entrance ways, rustic cabins etc.) The problem I have is each letter is an image by itself and not a true font. This makes it very difficult to resize, place, and use very many letters in anything. Do you know of any true fonts out there that look like this? Free would be great, but if I need to buy some package that would be okay too, if the letters were really fonts.
I hope I described what I'm looking for well enough for you. Any help at all would be great.
Lastly, are you aware of a camping icon collection other than The Graphic Station?
- Answer:
The Wood Badge scouting Web site has three fonts available: Wood Badge, Logger, and Wood Plank. These are True Type fonts. Download here.
I also recall having seen "log" titles on Web pages. Don't know if they were fonts or graphics. However, for a load of font resources, check out the list that Jean Kaiser has on her Web Design links.
