I have a dome tent with fiberglass tube poles that have a shock cord running through the tube. One of the tubes broke and I've bought a repair kit but have no idea how to go about making the repair. Could you direct me on this?

I repaired some poles a few years back too. All I did was cut the old cord, replace the broken section of pole and re-tie the new cord through the pole sections. Stretch the old pole sections out and see if you can see how they knot it, then do the same with the repair kit.
