Travelogue - from the Hills to the Beach

After a rainy night in Richmond, we rise early once again to get on the road. After a couple hours we finally say goodbye to the expressways and hello to Route 168, a two-lane asphalt highway. Along this route we stopped for several sites.  The Monitor - Merrimack tunnel under the James River.  The home of monster truck Grave Digger, seen at many a state fair and monster truck competition.  One of several vegetable markets we stopped at along the way to stock up on fresh produce.  The Wright Brothers National Monument in Kill Devil Hills, where they performed their famous feats of first flight. Until tomorrow ... David
