Camping Check List - page 6

First Aid Kit

By David Sweet, About.com

Accidents will inevitably happen, especially when outdoors, and particularly when you take the kids along. Whenever adventuring outdoors, it's best to have a first aid kit available to handle those little mishaps that can happen at the campground. Whether you buy a ready-made kit, or you put one together on your own, the basic first aid kit should include these items.

First Aid Kit

  • personal medication
  • bandages
  • aspirin, Tylenol
  • medical tape
  • sterile gauze
  • elastic wrap
  • antibiotic wipes
  • antiseptic cream
  • burn ointment
  • sunburn lotion
  • hydrogen peroxide
  • scissors
  • tweezers
  • eye wash
  • sanitary napkins
  • snake bite kit

To round out the personal care items to take camping with you, let's next consider hygiene and toiletry items to add to the list.
