Destinations Pennsylvania

Dutch Country, Lancaster County

Visit an Amish farm and take a little step back in time to a slower paced way of living. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of southeast Pennsylvania, settled by the Amish, the Mennonites, and the plain people, communities of folks who maintain time honored traditions and family values. They prefer to work with simple tools and do things manually rather than rely on modern conveniences. Not too unlike us campers who escape our city lives to get outdoors and relax in the serenity of nature.

There are a variety of campgrounds available in the area, with plenty of outdoor recreation and attractions to fill your days with adventures. For those energetically inclined, maybe a little trout fishing, hunting, hiking, bicycling, or golf. If you would rather see the sights, you might prefer to cruise the beautiful countryside in search for antiques, covered bridges, quilts, or farmers markets.

If you're a history buff, there's no shortage of historical sites and museums here either, as there's quite a selection of both. But if you're into gratifying your taste buds, then you're fortunate to be able to savor the favored regional attraction, the delicious foods.

Lancaster County is certainly a place where you can travel and enjoy some of that traditional Pennsylvania Dutch hospitality.
