Situated at the southernmost part of Alabama, the island, as some would call it, but better known as Alabama's Gulf Coast, is 32 miles of sandy beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.
With a mild winter climate, the Gulf Coast makes for a great winter camping destination. While many visitors are attracted by popular year-round activities such as golf, tennis, and the Gulf of Mexico's varied fishing; others come to enjoy the hiking and biking trails, scuba diving, sailing, or just daydreaming on the beach.
When considering a warmer destination for your winter camping adventures, add Alabama's Gulf Coast to the list.
