About KOA Campground Central Oregon, from KOA: " Set in the high desert of central Oregon, this KOA enjoys a prime location in the state's recreational wonderland with spectacular views of the Cascade Range, including Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Hood. Lake Billy Chinook-where the Deschutes, Crooked and Metolius rivers converge-and Haystack Reservoir lie less than 15 minutes away and offer every kind of water sport. Hikers, rock climbers and rockhounds are in heaven among national grasslands, national forests and Smith Rock State Park. Our campground offers plenty of recreation, too, with a heated outdoor pool, weekend ice cream socials, Pancake & sausage breakfasts, banana-bike rentals and a "pebble puppy" area for kids. Shop the campground store for gifts, groceries, fishing equipment, DVD/VHS rentals and a book exchange. Our country setting also offers green pastures and opportunity to feed the horses.
