"A new management has taken over and it is a big disappointment! We have been visiting the lake since 2002 and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The owner, William Smalley better known as DOLLAR BILL, has taken over management. Since new management has taken over the resort is starting to become run down. The main road, Blue Gill Road, has become riddled with pot holes, the grocery store is poorly stocked, and there is a charge for every activity on top of the cost to camp. The permanent campers are charged for swimming and guest most pay a fee to stay over. The few cabins they have are very poorly kept. The smallest cabin goes for $95.00 a night. To ride a four wheeler you purchase a flag and pay a deposit for the flag as well as the fee to ride. The charge for a couple to ride is $50.00 on top of camping and swimming fees. The lake is heavily fished and has not been stocked since new management has taken over. DOLLAR BILL tends to send out his Barney Fife wanna bee’s, he calls Security, to harass people in the park. Over the past summer this has become a daily routine witnessed by me and others. It is my recommendation to not waste your time with this lake/camping spot. If you like the area go to Longs Retreat and have some fun and relax."
