Campground Review

Ludington State Park has over 4000 acres, with three separate campgrounds, two beach areas (one on lower Hamlin Lake and one on the Great Lake Michigan - which by the way is one of the nicest beaches anywhere), and many hiking trails, from a short 15 minute flat hike, to a hilly, stair climb, to a long island adventure walk. The campsites are typically wooded and close to amenities. Because of all this, reservations are needed and can be taken after January 1 for the following summer (this is encouraged).
