We camped there in August 2000, and I found this campground in Downeast Magazine.

Campground Review

Cobscook Bay is the quietest campground we've ever pitched our tents in. It is located on a tidal bay of Maine's rugged northern coast, and many sites are on the bay! It is adjacent to a wildlife refuge which adds to the peaceful setting. There is plenty of opportunity to see wildlife - my daughter sighted a mama and baby porcupine climbing adjacent trees at dusk two years ago! Harbor seals come in with the tide and play in the bay. We enjoyed canoeing and sighting the seals as well as many varieties of birds. The park rangers are friendly and helpful and will provide tips for going clamming when the tide is out. When the tide is out, the water is because of the strong Bay of Fundy tide! There is a shower building and running water at the shower area only. There are well-maintained pit toilets throughout the campground. You get used to it.
