I found this campground while going to college in Western Maryland on Maryland's DNR Web site. I camped there in July 1999 and July 2000.

Campground Review

This park has 65 wooded, private campsites. Each has a level pad, fire ring, picnic table and lantern stand. The park is quiet. Swallow Falls offers three falls: Muddy Creek, Upper Swallow Falls and Lower Swallow Falls. You can swim in Lower Swallow Falls.

The campground is back away from the day use part of the park, and the entire park is only nine miles from Deep Creek Lake, but with none of the noise or hustle and bustle of the crowds. There are plenty of hiking trails and planned activities nightly for everyone.

We simply love it there.
