I found this campground on the TravelOk web site, and I camped there in June 2001.

Campground Review

Beavers Bend State Park was a very beautiful, scenic park. The RV camping has hot showers and all the commodities. However, the tent camping is very primitive, with only picnic tables provided and pit toilets. It has an awesome swimming area that has paddle boating, canoeing, bumper boats and a miniature golf course. There is a mini-train ride that goes around the park as well as horseback riding. They even have nightly hayrides, which my kids got a great kick out of. The park lies along the Mountain Fork River which most of the camp areas are by. Let me tell you though, I have never swam in water as cold as that. Did not seem to bother my children but my husband was another story. Ha! My kids proclaimed this park as their favorite place to go so far. I guess that statement in itself goes a long way. A nice place for camping to be enjoyed by the whole family.
