Sherrel - Friends of ours invited us to this campground last year and we keep going back. We camped there in July 2001.

Campground Review

The 51 mile drive up to this campsite is just incredible. It's a nice relaxing drive (35 MPH through the park). They have plenty of turn-offs so that you can look at the incredible views. The campsite itself is great: nice level ground, concrete fire pits, enough space for six campers (with maybe three or four tents at the site). They have showers with hot and cold water and you pay $1.00 for 5 minutes (enough for two people to take a shower - one after the other). They have a well stocked store in case you forgot something, as well as a restaurant and gift store. You can get firewood in bundles. And there are nice hiking trails all around.

I can't say enough about this campground. At night the stars seems so close that you can touch them. Hope this helps in your camping decision.
