Bill - A good friend who goes up here once a year told us about this campground, and we camped there in July 2001.

Campground Review

Who can deny that you will not be disappointed anywhere you go in Colorado, but this resort really seems to go all out to make sure that your stay with them will be one that will be remembered and filled with memories to recall time and time again-like a vacation should be. They have a main store with all the activities that you can sign up for (rafting, hiking, fly fishing, lake fishing, stream fishing, float fishing, local tours and site-seeing). Crested Butte is about 20 minutes away. We spent one week there and could have spent another one very easily just to say that we tried to do all that is offered. We took our travel trailer and had a site with the Taylor River about 20 feet off our back window. We ran our heater for about 5 minutes in the morning to knock the chill off, no AC the entire week until we hit Texas again! This resort has something for everyone. I am going back next year. On the way up we stayed at Trinidad Monument Lake Park, not as much to do but equally beautiful. If you have never been to Colorado you owe yourself at least one trip and allow yourself plenty of time there. Hope that you enjoy it as much as we did.
