Debbie - We had camped there last year on the recommendations of some friends, and I camped there again in July 2001.

Campground Review

This campground is great because the sites are level and spacious. There are seven sites in a ring and there is room in the middle of the ring for boats and extra vehicles. You can camp with a group and be all together. The wildlife at dawn and dusk is beautiful, lots of deer. Even as you are bike riding the deer are on the side of the road by the trees and they stand there and stare at you. The campground has a pool with the friendliest staff. The lifeguards play with the kids and encourage the ones who are working up the nerve to venture to a higher level of swimming or jumping. They offer arts and crafts and show movies in the afternoons so parents can get a break from the pool. They have concerts at the amphitheatre and marshmallow roasts in the evening as well. There is just a lot to do. The lake is beautiful and the water has to be 86 degrees and just as clean as can be. You can see pretty far down when you are in there swimming! It's a great lake for tubing and skiing and not nearly as crowded as Cumberland.
