Eric - I found this campground listed in our Trailer Life Campground Book while searching for a campground for last year's trip. I checked them out on the Internet as well, and I camped there in August 2001.

Campground Review

We have stayed at many different kinds of parks in various parts of the US. We are members of KOA, as well as lifetime members of the Good Sam Club. Poncho's Pond, located just off Highway 10 on Old US-31 in Ludington, is one of the cleanest parks that my wife and I have ever stayed in. They are a full service park and have full hookups at almost all of their sites. All of their roads are paved and their sites can accommodate all sizes of rigs. They are currently working on a new shower house in their new section and it looks like they will have it done in the next few months. The park has two pools, one for the kids and one for the adults, as well as a hot tub for the adults. Poncho and Nan, the owners of the park, are the nicest people that you would ever want to meet. They have all kinds of activities for their guests, including activities just for kids. The park is 2.5 miles from downtown Ludington and a little over 3 miles to Lake Michigan. If you go, you have to walk out to the lighthouse. Watching a sunset from there is something you have to experience. The city marina is a nice place to take an evening walk and it is also a great place to watch the Badger, a car ferry, come and go.
