Dr. Oliver - I camped there in 1990.

Campground Review

My four brothers and I were brought here by our father for years. We camped in his father's floorless canvas buffalo tent. I think this is a great campground because of the great trout fishing, a fantastic stream which traverses the grounds, and the historical covered bridge.

"We went there for the trout fishing in June 2009 and it was great! We fished both the Willowemoc and Beaverkill rivers. Fished right from my site. We were on the Willowemoc and the Beaverkill was just 20 minutes away. My buddy went there last year and recommended it to me. He stayed at the Covered Bridge sites, which he liked. We camped in the Pines though. These sites are more secluded, which was good. The site was right on the river, felt like I was there only one there. I don't want to camp around a bunch of people. Plus there were no rv's near us. It's really quiet and there are lots of trees here. My girlfriend liked the farm animals and went hiking also. It's a clean campground and the showers are hot with lots of pressure, better than our apartment. Camp on the river, it's great. Bring waders for the river, makes it easier."
