Yvette - I found out about this campground by a link on the Georgia Tourism Bureau Web site, and I camped there April 2002.
Campground Review
Although a bit crowded, Stone Mountain's campground was wonderful! From our campsite, we could see and hear an old-fashioned paddlewheel boat go by! The park itself is awash in activity. You can go fishing, hiking, walking around the mountain (a 5 mile walk on sidewalks), or there is a petting farm to visit. There are lots of in-park restaurants as well as a laser light show from spring through early winter. The facilities at the campground were great. The bathhouses were clean and well kept (even in a crowded block of time), and they had a pool, playground, store, and lush landscaping. We had such a good time, I cancelled a trip to the day spa to spend the additional time with my family and our pop-up camper!
