Gary - I found this campground listed in an article as one of the top ten campgrounds in the US, and I camped there in May 2002.

Campground Review

I think this is a great campground because it is small (only 25 spaces), the spaces are widely separated, providing wonderful privacy and noise isolation, and there is a beautiful trout stream running through it, with several campsites directly on the stream. It is tent-oriented (no hook-ups) and has two bathrooms with flush toilets and showers. There is also great hiking on the AT right from the campground. (In Mount Rogers National Recreation Area.)
