Robin - I knew this campground was located on a huge lake and always wanted to try it out. I camped there in August 2002.

Campground Review

We've been camping all life long, and this is the nicest campground we have ever been to. It is super clean, quiet, has very spacious sites, many waterfront and majority with water views. Campers can bring boats and dock them in front of their waterfront sites. The campground has many hookup sites, both paved and unpaved, and cabins and cottages for rent along with a lodge with rooms overlooking the lake. For the third week in August, there were many premium sites still available. The lake is absolutely beautiful (much bigger than expected). They have a restaurant at the marina that was surprisingly good and very affordable - even gave us complimentary beer or wine! The campground has its own tour/party boat that goes out at different times with different themes. We rented a pontoon boat for a day and dragged the kids around on a tube. The swimming beach area was nice, and the campground also has its own small water park (go after 3:00 - 1/2 price). We would recommend this campground to everyone!
