Brian - I found out about this campground by word-of-mouth, and I camped there in July 2002.

Campground Review

My 9-year-old son and I made the trek past Bar Harbor up to Acadia. We stayed at the Blackwoods Campground. The scenery was spectacular. The rustic camping area was clean and quiet, and it had typical park bathrooms (flush toilets, sinks, no showers, reasonably clean). The stars were awesome (no moon). We especially enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the surf hitting the beach.

Hint: Buy a solar shower if you need to shower. Pay showers are available outside the entrance to the park.
