Bear Den Campground, Spruce Pine, North Carolina

Campground Review

Bear Den Campground is in the middle of the mountains right on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a gorgeous waterfall within walking distance, and they have secluded wooded campsites. The campgrounds are extremely clean, and bathrooms are checked and cleaned 5 (that's right 5) times a day. Everyone was nice and friendly. There is plenty for kids to do including swimming, fishing, paddle-boats, and hiking. It is within 10 miles of food and shopping. It's absolutely the best place for someone to camp in the mountains. For this group of first-timers, I hope every camping trip will be as great as the one we spent at Bear Den Campground.
