Brian - I found out about this campground in the book "Colorado Campgrounds: The 100 Best and All the Rest," and I camped there in May 2003.

Campground Review

I think this is a great campground because each site is paved, level, and includes electrical hookup, along with a fire grate and picnic table. Sites 1-5 have wide open views of the back side of Pike's Peak. However, you will most likely be looking at your neighbors, as the sites are not very private. Stay away from all the sites along the main loop into the campground, as you'll get a lot of car traffic coming by. The most private sites are 45 and 46. You see very little of your neighbors and Pike's Peak is visible through the trees.
