Richard - I found this campground through a friend, and I tent camped there in July 2003.

Campground Review

We are not serious campers. We have a tent and will camp three times a year at most. We have two girls under the age of seven, and they both had a wonderful time. This is not wilderness camping. This campground was neat and clean and quite. I cannot comment on the sites where they have water and electric for larger campers; however, most sites were rather small, but comfy. You don't want a site next to the bathrooms. Our site had a place in the sun, as well as shade from the trees. The one negative is that you must wash your dishes, pots, and pans at the site itself. No washing area.

This is in an area of Rhode Island where there is an abundance of beaches (state beaches $14.00/day), boating, and fishing. We had wonderful weather, and the winds are usually blowing in from the shore so you often have a breeze.

Golf courses and general stores were nearby, as were the local supermarkets. It took us four hours (including stops) to get there from Long Island. It wasn't buggy, and we would go back.
