Vanessa - I found out about this campground in a brochure, camping magazine, and online. I RV camped there in July 2003.

Campground Review

We spent three nights here, and it was a great family get-away. This place is clean and well-maintained. We never left the campground. We had plenty of time to relax at the pool/kiddie pool and also on the beach. They have a 50-acre lake, and they rent out kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, and row boats. The swimming beach is nice. The playground equipment is very nice. Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, and Boo Boo all greet the children in the morning and in the evening. At night they show Yogi Bear cartoons. They have activities all day long, and they offer two wagon rides per day.

The sites are small, but they were nice. We have a 30-foot camper and got full hook-ups. People with tents can camp right near the lake, if they choose. If you don't have a camper or tent, they have simple cabins to bigger cabins and park model trailers to rent.

I do a lot of camping and even have a nice seasonal site on a lake, but this was a great place to take the kids for a vacation. Not only did my kids love it, but my husband and I felt like we were on a real vacation too. This place was really nice.

Not the same as it used to be, Member Lindseyann99

I went to this campground every summer growing up and now was excited to take my children there every summer, but was very disappointed. The lake was very mossy and had a lot of trash floating around. Every trash can I saw was overflowing with trash. The game room's games were very old and there was water leaking from multiple places in the ceiling. The beach looked like it was in need of more sand. The shower house by the beach had no hot water. The baby pool was not open for use. All this and everything was very overpriced. Definently won't be back. Would be better off in a state park and spend half the $.
