Jim - I found out about this campground in the state park brochure, and I tent camped there in August 2003.

Campground Review

This is a hidden gem of the state park system. Located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, the park offers miles of hiking trails along with ample fishing and swimming in the lake and three ponds. There are both electric and non-electric sites, and we found our tent camping experience to be top notch. We are returning in the fall for the brilliant colors. Even with over 220 sites we found that we were not on top of each other in several areas of the park. The facilities were very clean, and there is much to do. We spent two nights on site 12 and any site between 12-25 in the hilltop section is great for tents with a little privacy. I would highly recommend this park.
