campingmom - I found this campground on the Missouri State Parks Web site, and I've tent camped there several times.

Campground Review

The Nature Center at Sam A. Baker is wonderful. It's nice for information, or to take a break from the heat. The naturalist programs at all Missouri state parks are a bonus, whether it's a hike, amphitheater movie, or Junior Naturalist Hour (for all ages). Campsites are plentiful, and there's swimming available in the St. Francis River or in Big Creek. Canoeing, tubing, rafting, and kayaking on the river is available too.
