Daryl - I found this campground searching the Internet, and I RV camped there in July 2003.

Campground Review

Point Lookout is a great campground. We were booked on a full hook-up site in the Tulip loop, but moved to the Electric only loop, as the Tulip loop was very dark and forested. Lots of deer fly as well. The electric only loop was much nicer as it is less forested. Our site was right on the lake, and we had a view of the lake and Chesapeake Bay. The bath houses are old, but spotlessly clean. The bird life is fantastic. Flocks of Osprey, Herons, and even a few Bald Eagles. Lots of crabs to be caught or bought from the local watermen. Day trips to Smith Island (via cruise boat) and Solomon's Island are fun and worth doing.
