Michael - I found out about this campground from a friend, and I RV camped there in February 2004.

Campground Review

This was the first time with the 25' trailer, and we were a little concerned. We are new to camping, and we had some worries ranging from towing to emptying the "black" water. From the first contact with the park, they were helpful and informative, giving great advice on "how tos". We arrived Friday night, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to have our first experience at camping. The amenities of the park are clean and friendly. The washrooms and showers were immaculate and well lighted. There is hiking: 1-mile Sandpiper Nature Trail and 3-mile Big Ferry Trail. Facilities include: 588 acres, 88 tent, trailer, RV Sites ($26), Interpretive Center, giant ground sloth exhibit, swimming pool, playground, 5 picnic shelters, and 3 pioneer campgrounds.
