Tim - I found this campground on the state park Web site, and I RV camped there in April 2004.

Campground Review

Arriving early to get a good spot, and not having but two sites to choose from, I learned that this is one of the few state campgrounds that you can call earlier in the week and reserve a certain site. We spent the night in an open site and were very unhappy, and we let the rangers know. In the morning they offered a choice of three other sites that the campers were no shows. We eventually moved to one of these sites. After the move, it was a delightful weekend. There are a lot of activities for the kids. We fished with great results, canoed, and walked all the trails. The second site was well wooded and next to the lake. The park itself was very clean, including the restrooms, and they had just cut a couple of trees up for firewood for all that stayed there. The rangers were very helpful, and they even gave us a canoe to keep for the evening. In all, it was a wonderful weekend and would suggest this park as long as you call first to reserve which site you would want.
