Arlene - A relative told me about this campground, and I tent camped there in October 2003.

Campground Review

Petite Jean State Park offers a variety of great campsites. Over one hundred sites are available, and all are within a short distance of great opportunities of things to do during the day and night. There are great sites for RVs or tents. It is open year round. The bathhouses are cleaned daily, and the security comes around two or three times a day. There are also cabins and a motel to stay in. Each campsite has clean water and electricity. The mountain has a variety of knowledge to release to anyone who visits, from the history of the mountain and a wonderful view of the Arkansas River. There are many caves, waterfalls, and trails to visit. The wealth of information cannot be received in one visit. Each time we go there we see something new and different. We have been visiting for the past two years regularly. Several times per year in fact. A trip to Petite Jean State Park is indeed a vacation trip for the outdoors person.
